Denise promises to try to save his life, as long as he can get her to the infirmary, but before they can even set off properly, he is shot dead by Carol who is looking on from above. When Carl is unable to shake off Jessie's death grip, Rick hacks off her arm, leaving poor Carl traumatised. Blaming Rick, Ron grabs Carl's dropped pistol and aims it at Rick. Michonne stabs Ron, however, the pistol still gets shoot and takes out Carl's eye. This motivates the Alexandrians to join him, taking out any walker who comes their way. Daryl fills the lake with petrol from a conveniently found tanker, and ignites it, which then attracts the walkers, who plunge straight into the flames. The morning after, the survivors regroup and Rick sits with Carl in the infirmary, holding his hand, when Carl grips on and the episode ends.
